Hazelton Brothers built extremely high quality, expensive pianos in NY from about 1850-1957, one of the few American piano companies to survive over a century.
This beautiful piano was built just after the end of the Civil War, a time when more square pianos were being built in America than both upright pianos and grand pianos combined! This piano is made of beautiful Brazilian Rosewood and is of the handsome Empire Revival style with octagonal legs and carved music rack & lyre. This piano will be restored to like-new condition, inside and out. This piano has a sweet, harp-like tone quality that is very pleasant to hear!
