DESCRIPTION

This is a beautiful rare upright piano built by the Gibbons & Stone Piano Company of Rochester, NY in 1870. During this period, the majority of pianos built by Gibbons & Stone were square grand pianos; upright pianos by Gibbons & Stone this early are exceedingly rare.
This piano is made of beautiful walnut wood and is of the carved Victorian style. Note the lovely brass candle sconces and the unusual musical motif carved in the center panel! This elaborate upright piano would have been one of the highest-grade, most expensive pianos in the Gibbons & Stone line. The piano is being restored to like-new condition inside and out, and it will have the sound quality of full grand piano after restoration.
A matching piano stool is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
