Beautiful Rococo Style George Steck Upright Piano
George Steck was one of the most successful American piano builders of the 19th Century. His instruments were known to be exceedingly well made and ahead of their time.
This lovely upright piano was built by George Steck in 1880, the “Gilded Age” of Victorian America. The piano is made of beautiful Braziian Rosewood and is of the Rococo Victorian style. The front panel consists of three lovely velvet-covered panels which act as “speakers” for the piano’s sound to come through to the pianist.
This piano is a large, full size upright with the string length and soundboard are of a full grand piano! This piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. A buyer can select the color of fabric for the front panels if desired.
If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system which will allow the instrument play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc. Thousands of song titles are available.
