Exceptional George Steck Eastlake Style Victorian Carved Baby Grand Piano In Brazilian Rosewood Cabinet
This beautiful George Steck Parlor Grand Piano is one of the loveliest Eastlake style pianos we have seen come through our shop. It was built in 1885 during the height of the lavish Victorian era and is made of beautifully carved Brazilian Rosewood. George Steck was known for building extremely high quality pianos during this era, and they were quite expensive. Only a wealthy few could afford such a luxury. This piano measures only 5'11" feet long, quite small for a 19th Century Victorian piano. The overall appearance and proportions of this piano are very formal and elegant. Note the ornately carved music rack, legs and pedal lyre. Pianos of this caliber are examples of 19th Century craftsmanship at its finest! This piano has been restored to like new condition inside and out, and is pristine in every way. A matching stool is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
