Description
Beautiful Two-Tone Mahogany George Steck Baby Grand Piano
The George Steck Piano Company was one of New York’s renown manufacturers, and is one of the few old American brand names to survive for well over a century. The George Steck Piano Company was known for building higher-grade, well-made instruments during the 19th and early-to-middle 20th Century periods.
This lovely piano was built by Steck in 1931. The instrument was originally sold as the “Style V” baby grand piano and is made of beautiful two-tone mahogany wood. This two-tone “shadowing” effect gives the instrument a striking appearance, making it suitable for both formal and informal settings. At only 4’6” long, the instrument is ideal for someone with limited space for a baby grand. Despite the instrument’s small size, the tone quality is large and full unlike most small pianos built today.
This instrument is currently undergoing restoration. It will be both aesthetically beautiful and pleasing to the ear once the restoration is complete. The original matching piano bench is included.
