This is a rare and beautiful J & C Fischer parlor grand piano from the height of America's Victorian era. Fischer was a very important part of America's musical past. They built exceptional pianos from 1840-1982, one of the few American piano companies to survive well over a century. This piano is made of a beautiful grain of Honduras Mahogany wood which will be finished in a deep rich reddish brown color. Note the elaborate scalloping around the case, and the intricately carved "Elephant Legs", pedal lyre and music rack. This piano is a prime example of the heavily carved Rococo Victorian Style that was popular in the last quarter of the 19th Century. This level of craftsmanship just isn't available on instruments built today. This piano is being restored back to it's original "like new" condition. Computerized player mechanisms if desired.
