DESCRIPTION

John Broadwood & Sons of London is one of the oldest and most successful piano manufacturers in history. This is a lovely Broadwood Square Grand piano built in the 1820's. Pianos like this one are often seen and heard in period films like "Pride & Prejudice" and "Little Women". Broadwood pianos of this vintage are quite rare here in the United States - the instrument was likely sold new in Europe and imported to the United States sometime during the 20th Century. This lovely instrument appears to be made of beautifully grained Rosewood and Mahogany woods which will be stunning after restoration. The piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. Unlike modern pianos, this instrument will have a lovely "harp-like" tone quality to it which is very pleasant to hear!
