Description

This magnificent concert grand piano was built in New York by Decker Brothers Piano Company soon after the Civil War. It is made of lavishly carved Brazilian Rosewood, and has a beautifully mellow, warm tone. Decker Brothers was one of the most advanced and progressive piano manufacturers of the 19th Century, and this piano is very advanced for its age. Although it is a 19th Century instrument, it is thoroughly modern in design and construction. It has been restored to perfection inside and out, and is just as it was the day it left the factory over a century ago. This instrument would have been at home on the concert state or in formal music salons during the height of the Victorian era. A matching stool is included. This piano can be equipped with a computerized player mechanism if desired.
