DESCRIPTION

This wonderful square piano was built by Chickering of Boston prior to the Civil War. Chickering was the first piano manufacturer in America, established in 1823. This piano is made of Brazilian Rosewood, and is of the massive Empire Revival style. Note the octagon legs and clean, simple lines, all hallmarks of this classic style. It has been internally restored, but the rosewood finish is original but can be refinished if a client desires it. It has an incredible sound, with tremendous power and volume. An original matching stool is included.
