DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

Chickering was the first piano manufacturer in America. Chickering pianos have been celebrated for over 150 years as some of the finest pianos ever made.

This beautiful piano was built by Chickering in 1897, just as styles were shifting from the heavily carved Victorian styles to the elegant Edwardian style. The tone quality of these large Chickering upright pianos can be quite impressive! This piano is made of beautifully carved Honduran Mahogany wood under the old darkened finish and features lovely etched panels and carved moldings. The instrument can be restored to any shade of red mahogany or brown mahogany per the buyer’s request.

This piano will be restored to like-new condition, inside and out, with all restoration work being done with a historical perspective in mind. A well restored Chickering upright piano can satisfy the most discriminating pianist!

If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device. Thousands of song titles are available.
