This is a wonderful example of piano building in 19th Century America. This piano was built by Chickering, America's first piano maker, in 1907. This piano is made in the Rococo style, and is elegantly carved with fancy moldings and trim. Note the beautiful cabriole legs and inset oval recess in the front panel. This piano is made of beautifully carved mahogany, and it will be a rich, deep reddish brown color after restoration. Once restored, this piano will be an excellent instrument, as well as a beautiful piece of Victorian furniture. An original matching stool is included. This piano can be equipped with the computerized player mechanism is desired.
