This piano was built by The Charles M. Stieff Piano Company of Baltimore during the “Golden Age” of piano building in America. This piano is a large, full size upright with the string length and soundboard area of a full grand piano! This piano is made of imported Honduran Mahogany wood and is of the Colonial style. It can be finished in either a red mahogany color or brown mahogany color per the buyer’s request.
Instruments by Charles M. Stieff were known to be exceptionally well-made pianos, often referred to as “The Poor Man’s Steinway”. While Stieff pianos were not inexpensive, the firm’s success resulted from their ability to provide a top-quality musical instrument at a lower price than most other major brand names.
This piano will be restored to like-new condition, inside and out. The tone and touch of the instrument will be suitable for the discriminating pianist.
