Elegantly Carved Louis XV Style Cable-Nelson Upright Player Piano In Burl Walnut Wood
Out of stock
This is an unusual Louis XV style upright player piano by the Cable-Nelson Piano Company, circa about 1918. Cable-Nelson was one of the few American piano manufacturers to survive both the Great Depression and World War 2, a testament to their quality. Due to the high cost of player pianos in the early 20th Century, it was unusual for them to be made of beautifully carved cabinets like this the more traditional, simple styles were more affordable. These carved player pianos were the highest grade, most expensive player pianos available at the time. This piano operates with a perforated paper roll which is accessed behind the sliding front doors. The piano is being restored to like new condition inside and out, and can be electrified if desired. An original matching bench is included.
