This Stunning Bush & Lane French Style Piano Achieves A Perfect Balance In Formal Elegance And Simplicity
Bush & Lane was known for building some of the most well-made pianos in the industry. Their instruments are incredibly durable and were very expensive when new. When properly restored, a large full-size Bush & Lane upright piano is about the best sound quality one can get!
This stunning piano was built by Bush & Lane in 1909, a prime era for the firm. Originally sold as the “Style 14 Art Style” this model was referred as the “French Creation” in their original sales catalogs.
This piano has a rare and unique beauty about it because it has achieved a perfect balance in formal elegance and simplicity. The cabinet is made of rare Circassian walnut wood and is of the Louis XV or “French” style. The flowing, simple lines of the cabinet highlight the exotic woodgrain while the beautifully carved legs and moldings come together to create a perfect French design. Note the unusual curvature of the front panel and sides; a very costly feature rarely found in upright pianos.
This instrument was designed to be both a serious musical instrument and a stunning showpiece. If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system which will allow the instrument play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc. Thousands of song titles are available.
A matching piano bench is included.
