This Mason & Hamlin baby grand piano was built during the golden age of American piano manufacturing. Renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship, Mason & Hamlin instruments were the preferred choice of professional studios, conservatories, and concert artists. The Model A, in particular, is often regarded as one of the most perfectly designed pianos ever made.

Many early 20th-century Model A pianos are still in use today in major music schools and universities across the United States—cherished and rebuilt time and again rather than replaced with new instruments. Originally designed for teaching, performance, and institutional settings, most Mason & Hamlin grands were finished in traditional black lacquer.

This Model A, however, is a rare example crafted from exquisite Honduran Mahogany, suggesting it was built for a private home rather than institutional use.  This piano will be meticulously restored to meet the standards of the most discerning pianist.
