DESCRIPTION

This beautiful piano was built by the Arion Piano-Forte Company circa 1871. Arion was known to be a higher-grade instrument and the firm created several successful patents which improved manufacturing and tone quality in their square pianos.
This piano is made of Brazilian Rosewood, finished in an original deep rich color, and is made in the carved Rococo Victorian style. The piano features a full 88-note keyboard, a feature rarely found on instruments built prior to about 1880. The instrument has been restored to like-new condition, inside and out, and once again looks and sounds like it did when purchased by its original owner. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
