Shoninger
One of Connecticut’s most respected piano and organ manufacturers was Bernard Shoninger. B. Shoninger established his firm in 1850 in New Haven, Connecticut, and built exceptional pianos and organs throughout the 19th and early 20th Centuries under the name of B. Shoninger & Company. In 1922, the company changed ownership and the name of the firm was changed to Shoninger Piano Company with offices in New York. Shoninger pianos had an excellent reputation, and the name was produced until the middle 1960s.
