Sawyer, T. E.
The T. E. Sawyer Company was a fine maker of organs, melodeons and seraphines during the middle 19th Century. Established in 1858, the firm’s factory was located on Main Street in Nashua, New Hampshire. The firm manufactured instruments for several well known makers including Carhart & Needham, among others. The Sawyer Company had an excellent reputation for building very high quality instruments. It is unclear when the firm went out of business, but it does appear to be sometime in the decade after the Civil War.
