Milton
The Milton Piano Company was established in New York in 1892.  The firm started out by building several different models of higher-grade upright pianos.  After the turn-of-the-century the firm added baby grand pianos and player pianos to their product line.  Milton enjoyed a reputation of building very well made instruments and the firm was quite successful.
In the mid 1920s, Milton built a coveted new state-of-the-art factory on West 51st Street, New York City.  Milton become affiliated with industrial giants Kohler & Campbell and Brambach, and many Milton baby grand pianos were built in the Brambach factory under special contract.  Kohler & Campbell gained control of Milton after the Great Depression and continue to build pianos under the “Milton” brand name until the 1960s.
