Madison Piano Co.
The Madison Piano Company was established in 1900 at 115 E. 138th St., Bronx, NY.  Madison pianos were built by The Krakauer Piano Company, and Krakauer incorporated the Madison Piano Company in 1917 at 219 Cypress Ave., New York City.  Madison offered several lines of upright pianos, player pianos and small grands.  Their player pianos were equipped with the “Welte-Mignon” player mechanism.
After the 1930’s, most spinet and upright pianos with the “Madison” brand name were built by Winter & Co. and their grands were built by the Lester Piano Company.  The “Madison” brand name was discontinued by the early 1970s.
