Dickinson, Charles B.
Dickinson & Company (not to be confused with Gulbransen-Dickinson) was established shortly after the Civil War in New York City by Charles B. Dickinson. Dickinson was a small firm the built a limited number of high quality instruments mainly during the 1870’s and 1880’s period. They specialized in square grand and upright pianos, and also built a line of organs and melodeons. Dickinson manufactured pianos under the brand name of “American Piano” and organs under the brand name of “KeyStone”. Very little information is actually known about Dickinson, but there is no mention of the firm after about 1890.
