Decker Brothers (Chicago)
The Chicago based firm of Decker Brothers (not to be confused with the Decker Brothers of New York) was established in 1907. The firm primarily built upright player pianos and coin operated player pianos throughout the ‘teens and ‘twenties. Surviving instruments from the Decker Brothers Chicago firm are well made and durable instruments. These instruments are rarely encountered today, indicating that Decker Brothers was likely a smaller firm building instruments in lower volumes than other Chicago piano manufacturers. Decker Brothers Chicago appears to have gone out of business before about 1920.
