The “Clifford” piano brand name was a joint effort between Clifford Chickering of The Chickering Brothers Piano Company and The Ann Arbor Piano & Organ Company right at the turn-of-the-century era. Clifford Chickering designed the pianos and the Ann Arbor Piano & Organ Company built them at their factory.  This joint effort was intended to build the Clifford line of pianos as a superior instrument at an affordable price that was within reach of the average consumer.  There is very limited information about the Clifford brand of pianos, and they are exceedingly rare today.

Can you find your instrument listed in these antique catalogs?
