Berry Wood
The Berry-Wood Piano Player Company was established in Kansas City, Missouri, in about 1907. They were an early entry into the coin piano field, and they built very rugged, handsome and durable instruments. There is no indication that Berry-Wood ever built conventional pianos; only coin operated player pianos and orchestrions. Sadly, Berry-Wood was out of business before 1920, so they never were able to take full advantage of the 1920’s height of coin piano popularity. Berry-Wood instruments are exceedingly rare today.
