DESCRIPTION

Built by the illustrious firm of Strich & Zeidler, this piano was sold as the “Model G” upright. The “Model G” was one of the two highest grade, most expensive pianos in the Strich & Zeidler line. It was one of the most expensive upright pianos money could buy. Because the “Model G” was so expensive, only a wealthy few could afford such a luxury. As a result, this model is exceedingly rare today.
This piano is a very large, full size "upright grand" piano, and would please the most discriminating musician. Not only is it a superb quality instrument, but the cabinet detail is quite beautiful as well. Note the beautifully carved panels framed by the substantial large carved pillars, trusses and legs. Overall, the instrument is large and handsome appearance, almost architectural in feel. Also note the ornate sterling silver key cover handle and keyhole escutcheon. The exotic book-matched walnut wood has a richly-figured grain that adds a sense of elegance to the instrument. This instrument is overall a large and handsome instrument which makes quite a statement in person.
This piano is being restored to like new condition, inside and out. If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc. Thousands of song titles are available!
