DESCRIPTION

This lovely Berry-Wood piano was originally built as a coin-operated nickelodeon piano in the first decade of the 20th Century. When the nickel dropped in the slot, the stain glass panels would light up and the piano would play forth lively tunes of the era. Originally designated as the “Style F” by it’s maker, this piano originally had a set of either flute-toned or violin-toned organ pipes that would play along in harmony with the piano melody. This handsome instrument is a nice example of an early transitional piece from the Victorian to the Craftsman design. It will be restored to perfection, and can be rebuilt either as an original coin-operated Nickelodeon piano, or computerized player mechanisms can be added An original matching bench is included.
