DESCRIPTION

During the late 19th Century, Sears, Roebuck & Company produced a line of pianos and organs under the “Beckwith” brand name. This is a lovely example of a high-back Victorian Beckwith parlor organ in ornately carved quarter sawn oak. These organs were widely sold all over the United States, and they were of superior quality. Note the lovely “gingerbread” trim, shelves and mirrors. No self-respecting Victorian parlor would be complete without the presence of the family’s stylish parlor organ – it was a sign of culture in the Victorian home. This organ has been restored to perfection inside and out, and an original matching stool is included.
