DESCRIPTION

The firm of Bacon & Raven was one of America’s oldest and most well-respected piano manufactures with roots going all the way back to John Jacob Astor.
This rare instrument is a beautiful example of the instruments produced by Bacon & Raven in the decades prior to the Civil War. This instrument is made of beautifully grained Brazilian Rosewood and is of the Empire Revival style. Not as large as late 19th Century square pianos, this piano has an overall dainty and elegant appearance unlike most Empire style pieces. Note the beautiful detailed moldings and trim.
This piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. It can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
