DESCRIPTION

This lovely piano is a prime example of the highly carved Baroque influenced Louis XV Style. During the 'teens and 'twenties, America saw a huge revival in historic period furniture styles. This period saw some of the most elaborate and extreme cabinetry work ever produced in the United States. This lovely piano was built as an extreme adaptation of The Louis XV Style which was influenced by the Baroque period in Europe centuries earlier. Note the amazing detail in the carved legs, side panels, and music desk. Each individual blossom is carved right down to the finest detail!
Pianos like this were only afforded to a wealthy few because of the high cost associated with building such an elaborate piano. This level of extensive carving was used in only the higher grade, better quality instruments. The size and quality of this instrument indicates that it will be a superior musical instrument, not just a beautiful piece of furniture. The piano can be refinished to any shade of red or brown mahogany wood, or it can be restored in a white, antique ivory or black finish.
An original matching carved bench is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
