This beautiful piano was built by the famous Hardman, Peck & Company during the “Golden Age” of piano building in America. The early 20th Century saw a revival in classic historical furniture styles and finishes, and manufacturers like Hardman, Peck & Company offered a limited number of instruments in period style cases.

This piano boasts a beautifully executed custom 17th Century style Jacobean cabinet with subtle Spanish influences, complete with classic rope-twist style legs and elaborately carved moldings and trim.  The piano is made of beautiful walnut wood and is finished in a lovely 2-tone antique finish which completes the overall “old world” look and feel of the instrument.  Not only is this aesthetically beautiful, but the tone and touch will compare to any new higher quality baby grand piano.

This piano was originally built as a “Welte-Mignon” reproducing player piano, but the original pneumatic player mechanisms were removed from the instrument many years ago.  The fact that this was originally a player piano makes no difference whatsoever in the manual playability of the piano.  These reproducing player grand pianos were some of the finest and most expensive pianos money could buy, and the “Welte-Mignon” player system was generally installed in the finest instruments.

Since this instrument was originally built as a player piano, it would be an ideal candidate for the Pianomation player system.  This system plays wirelessly from computer, iPad or smart phone and 10,000+ song titles are available!

The original matching Jacobean style piano bench is included.
