This beautiful square piano is a fairly early example of an American Pre-Civil War square piano. Built by J&C Fischer of New York, this lovely piano is built in the Empire Revival style and is made of beautiful Rosewood and Mahogany banding, and is quite petite in appearance compared to later square grand pianos. The piano has a lovely light tone quality which is consistent with early music. These Pre Civil War square pianos are quite a pleasure to play and hear!
