description

J & C Fischer was a very important part of America's musical past. Fischer built exceptional pianos from 1840-1982, one of the few American piano companies to survive well over a century.

This piano is a truly exceptional example of the elegantly carved Louis XV style. What makes this piano even more unusual is that is is made of an exotic cut of French Walnut Wood which boasts a beautiful "rippled" or "marbled" effect in the wood grain. Note the elegantly carved legs, pedal lyre and music rack which are complimented by the beautifully carved scalloping around the entire bottom of the cabinet. The overall appearance of this piano is both formal and elegant - although very stately in appearance, it's small size makes it ideal for more homes. It has a concert quality tone and touch which far exceeds most newer small grand pianos built today. It comes with an authentic matching carved Louis XV style bench, and can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
