Instrument Description
This beautiful piano was built by the prestigious Paul G. Mehlin Piano Company about 1895. At the turn-of-the-century, Mehlin was considered to be one of the most progressive and advanced piano builders in America, and their pianos were very expensive. This piano is of the beautiful Victorian Empire style, with lovely fluted legs and carved music rack. It has an exquisite wood grain which is commonly referred to as "ribbon mahogany". Note how the grain of the wood looks likes falling ribbons across the grain. This piano has been restored to like new condition, and has been done in a lovely satin hand-rubbed finish. A matching bench is included. This piano can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
