Instrument Description

This elegant piano was built by the famous Chickering Piano Company in 1921 during the Golden Age of piano building in America. During the 1920s and 1930s era, some of the more prestigious American piano builders built a limited number of special "period revival" style instruments which reflected famous historic styles. This piano is made in a rare “French Country” style, with beautifully detailed carvings reminiscent of old world Europe. Pianos of this caliber are quite rare today, indicating that they were never built in large numbers. This piano is made of real mahogany wood and is finished in a satin black lacquer finish. This piano has been restored to like-new condition inside and out, and the tone and touch is consistent with the illustrious reputation that Chickering earned in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries.

Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired. A matching bench is included.
