Instrument Description
This beautiful Ludwig piano is an outstanding example of the lavish Victorian style in furniture design of the late 19th Century. According to an original 19th Century Ludwig Advertisement (see photos), it was sold as the “Royal” model. Pianos of this caliber are very rare today and due to the high cost of the instrument when new, few were actually made. It is made of a deep red mahogany, and with its heavily carved panels and intricate moldings, this piano would be the perfect instrument for a period Victorian room. Ludwig had a reputation for making fine quality, high priced instruments, and this piano is sure to be a fantastic musical instrument as well as a magnificent piece of furniture. An original matching stool is included. This piano can be fitted with a computerized player if desired.
