description

This piano was built by the famous Smith & Nixon Piano Company of Cincinnati in about 1892. It is made of beautiful mahogany, though the previous owner painted it with black latex paint! This piano has a very formal appearance with beautifully turned legs and carved music rack. Although it is very elegant, it is tastefully carved and not over done. This piano has a strong tone, and by all indications should make a fantastic piano after restoration. It is being restored to like new condition inside and out, and will rival any new quality grand piano in musical quality. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired. An original matching stool is included.
