Instrument Description

This is a beautiful example of an early 20th Century church organ that was once popular in rural America. This organ was built by the famous Estey Piano & Organ Company in about 1918, and is operated via hand crank while the organist plays! Rumor has it that a misbehaved child would have been given the task of cranking the organ for Sunday service as punishment for bad behavior!

The top of the organ is separate from the console, and the pipes are all false and for appearance only. This organ is in excellent playing condition, and can be electrified if desired.
