Marquette
The Marquette Piano Company was established in 1905 in Chicago, IL.  The Marquette Piano Company specialized in manufacturing player pianos and coin operated player pianos & nickelodeons under the “Marquette” and “Cremona” brand names.  Instruments manufactured by Marquette were considered some of the finest player pianos and nickelodeons ever built in this country, and they were also among some of the most expensive. They were known for using lavish woods and cabinet styles on their instruments, even applying exotic veneers to the internal mechanisms that were rarely seen! Instruments built by Marquette are among some of the most sought after player pianos and nickelodeons by collectors today. Sadly, Marquette went out of business with the onset of the Great Depression.
