Gross, George
George Gross was active in the piano industry during the early part of the 20th Century. His firm was incorporated as “The George Gross Piano Company” and was located at 139 Charles Street in New York City.  The George Gross Piano Company was a smaller, family-owned firm that built pianos in modest numbers compared to other New York manufacturers. The firm specialized in upright pianos and player pianos, including a player piano sold as the “Aero-Tone Player Piano”. Some pianos labeled as George Gross Piano Company were manufactured by The Hasbrouk Piano Company of New York under special contract. Instruments by the George Gross are rarely encountered today.
