Dannreuther, Abraham
Abraham Dannreuther was a short-lived piano-forte manufacturer in Cincinnati, Ohio during the pre-Civil War era. His factory was located at the corner of Walnut and Allison Streets in Cincinnati, and it appears that he was only in operation from 1850 – 1852, building only a limited number of square grand pianos and possibly melodeons. Due to the fact that Dannreuther was such a short-lived company, his instruments are virtually extinct today. Any surviving instruments by Abraham Dannreuther are definitely of museum caliber and deserve the finest restoration and preservation possible.
