Capen

Capen pianos were manufactured by the Brockport Manufacturing Company of Brockport, New York from about 1890 until the Great Depression era. Capen was known for building elaborately carved pianos made of exotic woods, and they were quite expensive for their time. There is very little information available about the Capen Piano Company, but we do know that both Capen and Brockport were owned by the large C. Kurtzmann Piano Company of Buffalo, NY.
