Bishop & Child
Bishop & Child was a very small maker of organs and melodeons. It is likely that they were a family-owned company that produced a very limited number of instruments during the middle 19th Century. Their factory and wareroom was located “In the Second & Third Stories of Hulburt’s New Block” in Cleveland, Ohio. These rare and obscure organs and melodeons offer some of the finest examples of 19th Century craftsmanship we see. There is very little information about this maker in our archives, and their instruments are exceedingly rare today.
